MC Sports Hall of Fame inducts five new members
BURNHAM — Sports legends and die-hard Mifflin County sports fans gathered at Birch Hill Event Center in Burnham on Saturday to savor the past, as the Mifflin County Sports Hall of Fame honored five individuals and an outstanding team at its 2024 induction ceremonies.

Class of 2024 Announced
BURNHAM — Five legends have been selected as the newest class to be enshrined into the Mifflin County Sports Hall of Fame. The Class of 2024 includes Kevin Kodish, Laura Loht and the late Rodney Tate, who each won at least one state championship in their respective sports. Rounding out the class are Brad Heckert, the all-time leading basketball scorer at Chief Logan High School; and the late Justin Henry, a three-sport standout at Lewistown who went on to a sensational career playing football and basketball at Division I University of Rhode Island.

Hayden Hidlay Guest Speaker at 2nd MCSHOF Induction Ceremony
LEWISTOWN — Voting is now underway for the 2022 class of the Mifflin County Sports Hall of Fame. Ballots have been distributed to members, who will choose from a slate of 14 candidates, seven of whom did not make the cut in the Hall of Fame’s inaugural class. Guest speaker for the September celebration will be Lewistown native Hayden Hidlay, who combined with brother Trent this past spring for a thrilling run in the NCAA national wrestling tournament — Hayden in the 174-pound weight class, Trent at 184.

Mifflin County Sports Hall of Fame seeks members
LEWISTOWN — Following the first class of inductees, the Mifflin County Sports Hall of Fame is now encouraging all sports enthusiasts to join the organization. “We are excited by the interest shown following our September ceremony and hope that more individuals become members,” said Jon Zimmerman, president of the local HOF.

Bradley enters MC Hall of Fame
BURNHAM — The late Dave Bradley was a star offensive lineman at Chief Logan High School, which eventually led him to be an All-State selection by both the Associated Press and the UPI, where he was named to Scholastic Magazine’s All-American team back in 1965.
